Emerging Technologies

Technological innovations can strengthen both housing and health systems—and the connections between them. We are exploring ways to accelerate the adoption of tools that improve living environments, enhance how people and providers interact, streamline provider workflows, and help communities track progress and use data more effectively.

Integrating Behavioral Health + Housing Supports

Partnerships between housing providers and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCHBHs), which provide community-based mental health and substance use services, can ensure that people with behavioral health needs have both the housing and services they need to thrive. States that use Medicaid to fund both housing-related supports and CCBHCs are in a unique position to encourage housing and behavioral health alignment. Read more here.

High-Acuity Needs
